Knitwear=Pringle of Scotland

Cuando piensas en tejido de punto usualmente piensas (tal vez sin saberlo) en Pringle of Scotland y sus twinsets de rombos argyle (sí, rombos de César Costa). Tal vez recuerden que esta es una de mis marcas favoritas y que AMO el tejido de punto, así que también es una de mis eternas inspiraciones. Digo, han estar haciendo esto desde 1815, esta gente conoce su chamba. Y para que tú también sepas lo que ellos hacen, te dejo algunos looks de otoño 2012 para que los ames también.

If you think about knitwear usually (even without knowing) you think about Pringle of Scotland and their classic srgyle twinsets. As you may recall, this is one of my favourite brands and as I LOVE knitwear it also is one of my everlasting inspirations. I mean, they have been doing this since 1815, these guys know their job. And for you to know what they are doing, I leave you some autumn 2012 looks to love.

What autumn garment is better than a sweater in statement knit?

El sweater de pescados y el cárdigan de rombos son los sweaters más clásicos y más escoceses, pero eso no quiere decir que sean aburridos. Pringle sabe cómo refrescarlos cada temporada.
The fisherman's jumper and the argyle cardigan are the most classic and scottish knitwear, but it doesn't mean that they are boring: Pringle knows how to refresh them every season.

Mi prenda de caballero favorita: el sweater de espiga (herringbone) bordado. Para apreciar la belleza en esto realmente se necesita el closeup: el tejido de herringbone luce como una tela en tejido plano y sobre este diseño bordaron un herringbone oversize dándole textura y un gráfico aparente de estampado-sobre-estampado.
My favourite menswear garment: the embroidered herringbone jumper. You really need the closeup to admire the beauty in this one: the black and white herringbone knit looks like woven fabric and over this design they embroidered an oversize herringbone giving texture and a pattern-over-pattern apparent print.

March Issue: Key Trend, Colour Tayloring

Ésta es una tendencia para los hombres valientes: cuando el usar un traje muy a la moda no es suficiente, puedes usar uno colorido. Sí, piensa en sastrerìa rojo brillante, naranja, verde, azul eléctrico e incluso amarilla. Ésto te hará el hombre más trendy en kilómetros a la redonda, pero es también un asunto muy delicado: ¿Cómo te vas a ver llegando a la oficina en un traje rosa mexicano?
Bueno, aquí les paso el secreto:
- Sastrería DE VERDAD. Sólo porque usarás un color divertido no quiere decir que el traje no deba ser perfecto. Ésto se aplica incluso si prefieres usar las prendas por separado.
- Usa el color como el foco principal y ÚNICO. Mientras la prenda sea lo más sencilla será más fácil de usar y dará como resultado un look más limpio.
- Mantente monocromático. Mientras menos colores uses, mejor. Usa al mismo tiempo desde el tono más llamativo hasta el pastel-casi-blanco: diferentes tonos del mismo color.
- Sé INTENSO. Si te gustó, ¡úsalo! No le temas a llamar la atención: la seguridad es el mejor accesorio.

This is a trend for the daring men: when wearing a suit quite fashionable is not enough, you can wear a colourful suit. Yes, think of bright red, orange, green, electric blue and even yellow tayloring. This will make you the most trendy man in miles around, but it's also a very delicate issue: How will you look arriving to the office in a bright pink suit?
Well, here I¡ll give you the secret:
- REAL tayloring. Just because it has a fun colour it doesn't mean the suit will not be perfect. This is true even if you wear separate pieces.
- Use the colour as the main and ONLY focus. The simplier the garment the easier to wear it and the cleaner the look.
- Remain monochromatic. The less colours you wear the better, go from the brightest tone to even an-almost-white pastel. Different tones of the same colour.
- Be FIERCE. If you liked it, the wear it! Do not get affraid of calling poeple's attention: Confidence is the best accessory.

Blouson Jacket

The simple zipper jackets are basics for the spring with their light weight and they protect you from the soft sometimes cold wind. Checks and texture contrasts are seen in this cotton or nylon jackets. Neutral colour and contrast combos are right for this garments.

Las chaquetas sencillas con cierre son básicas de la primavera debido a su ligereza y que te protegen del viento y los ligeros cambios de temperatura. The nautical inspiration will be everywhere this season (it already is!) and the basic jackets with big contrast buttons, ropes, patch pockets and in navy and white colours are a must.

La inspiración náutica estará en todos lados esta temporada (de hecho ya está) y las chaquetas básicas con grandes botones contrastantes, cordones, bolsillos de parche y en colores blanco, crudo y azul marino serán un básico.

Sleeveless Jackets

This ones are not exactly waistcoats, they have a jacket structure but they lack of sleeves... simple, isn't it? This garment will give and edgy fierce look to anything you wear with it; a key item for the fashionista inside you. Pair it with simple basics and look for it in neutral colours and black.

Éstos no son exactamente chalecos, tiene la estructura de una chaqueta, pero no tienen mangas... simple ¿no? Ésta prenda le dará un look atrevido y arriesgado a lo que sea que uses con ella, es una prenda clave para el fashionista dentro de tí. Úsala con basicos sencillos y en colores neutrales y negro.
